Goodtown’s public library: The place of many books.
Goodtown Parkway: this is where we gather for read alouds, mini lessons, Grand council and other large group meetings
Character Corner: This is the corner of our town where all the Goodtown values hang: determined, friendly, helpful, honest, positive, respectful, responsible. It is also the home for character corner books, mayor of the week poster, superman, and the power chair.
Student’s warehouse: Student supplies are kept here.
The Traffic light: used during class.
Green means you should be working
Yellow means you have a few minutes left
Red means stop and clean up
investigation station: this is our math wall for student work, strategies, posters, vocabulary, math mission, etc.
Kermit’s counter: This counter holds some of the overflow from the Student’s warehouse. More importantly, it’s A place to do stuff. Yep, stuff.
Goodtown’s wall of wisdom, work and wonder: this wall highlights the wisdom, work and wonders of goodtown residents. It also boasts our class motto, the Goodtown power meter, and reference posters for the school-wide 6 c’s.
post office: the post office is pretty small (like most post offices). IN the post office you will find a lot of Goodtown friends, private PO Boxes, and cubbies for backpacks, jackets, etc.
Goodtown raceway: this is the racetrack where resident’s have personalized race cars that race around the track as residents memorize their one digit multiplication facts.
marquee: the goodtown marquee is managed by the marquee manager. their job is to change the word(s) on the marquee each day to something that is relevant to goodtown at the time.
Gym: during friendly free-time residents can work out at the gym using the weights and yoga mat available.
